Using Shogo and NetSuite with SuiteTax enabled

With NetSuite SuiteTax enabled, Shogo does not send tax amounts to NetSuite.  Instead Shogo sends Tax Rates and NetSuite calculates the tax(es).  Shogo posts daily paid (zero balance) invoices.  Since NetSuite calculates the taxes after Shogo posts the invoice, the posting process works as follows:

1) Shogo posts the invoice

2) NetSuite calculates and adds the taxes to the invoice

3) Shogo queries the total invoice balance and then

4) Shogo updates/pays the invoice balance down to $0.

There are additional setup tasks required if you are using the Shogo/NetSuite integration with SuiteTax enabled.

  1. Update your Company Settings (Settings>Companies>Edit) in Shogo, toggle on "Has SuiteTax" at the bottom of the screen:

2. Once "Has SuiteTax" is toggled on, you will need to specify Clearing Accounts for each Shogo Store/Location.  These accounts should be set up as Bank Accounts in NetSuite and therefore cannot be shared across NS subsidiaries:
