A difference is caused depending upon whether Open Checks are mapped or not. If Open Checks is mapped to an account in your general ledger your sales data will POST even if the check is open. When checks are are left open after close of business and then closed on a later date, Shogo will not have all of the sales data on the initial sales load.
You may notice Tips Payable and the Credit Cards Receivable are incorrectly inputted. This is happens because Open Checks in the Union Point of Sale are not fully closed out and the Open Checks item is mapped in your accounting.
We recommend that you leave Open Checks unmapped. In this scenario, Shogo will place your accounting on hold when it detects open checks and will then try to periodically reload until the open checks have been closed out.
If you prefer to HOLD these dates until the Open Checks are closed, you can change the mapping for Open Checks to NONE - and Shogo will place the posting on HOLD and will continue to try to reprocess the sales until the Open Checks are closed.
