QuickBooks Online and Shogo have the ability to create custom transaction numbers.  Transaction numbers are used to identify each transaction posted to QuickBooks Online.   Note that you should either have QB Online assign custom IDs OR Shogo but not both.

If you want QuickBooks Online to create the transaction IDs for you - please check your settings in QuickBooks Online HERE

If you choose to have Shogo generate the transaction numbers you can assign up to a 5 character value to use as a suffix to the transaction ID.   Make sure that you have not enabled QuickBooks Online customer IDs in the above link.

Shogo custom transaction number settings are defined by logging into your Shogo account at app.shogo.io
 

Navigate to Settings>Accounting

Click the location you would like to edit

Select the General Settings section

Enable: "Custom Transaction Number?" and assign up to a 5 character suffix to the ID that will be YYYYMMDD#####
e.g. 20240731MYID1
