Rolling Reload automatically re-pulls past days' sales on an ongoing basis, so backdated changes to your sales data still flow through to your accounting > while keeping closed periods untouched.

It's useful any time sales for a prior day can change after the fact: corrected tips, voided checks, late entries, and similar adjustments.

How it works

Two settings control Rolling Reload. The first handles everyday late edits; the second makes sure nothing slips through before you close your books.

The daily reload

The pre-close catch-up

Choosing your settings

There's no one-size-fits-all setting, the right values depend on how long your operators need to finalize a day's data in the POS, and how quickly you want to close.

Tip: If you want the very last day of a period reloaded before you close, leave enough room between your close day and your lookback window > otherwise the final day may only be caught by the one-time catch-up.

Examples

Note: Only full-access users can change these settings.

Enable Rolling Reload

First, ask Shogo to turn the feature on:

Once enabled, Rolling Reload can be set in two places:

  • Account level > one setting that applies to every location.
  • Store level > a per-location setting for any store that needs different values.

Which one wins: A store-level setting supersedes the account-level setting for that location. Any location without its own store-level values simply follows the account setting.

Set it for your whole account

Account-level settings apply Rolling Reload globally, to all locations that don't have their own store-level values. You'll find these fields on the Account Info screen.

  1. Click My Account in the top-right corner of your screen.
  2. Enter your number of Reload Lookback Days.
  3. Enter your number of Period Close Days.
  4. Click the blue Update button.

Override a single location

To give one location different values, edit it in its Store Settings. These store-level values take priority over the account setting for that location.

  1. Go to Settings > Stores > View Details (if you have multiple locations).
  2. Open the Preferences section.
  3. Click the blue Edit button.
  4. Change Reload Lookback Days.
  5. Change Period Close Days.
  6. Click the blue Save button.
